API Hires VP/GM, Thermal Transfer Products
API Heat Transfer, a global leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of specialty heat exchangers and heat transfer solutions and backed by Littlejohn & Co. investment firm, has appointed Al Mejia to Vice President and General Manager of Thermal Transfer Products (TPP).
Mejia joins API Heat Transfer from Molded Dimensions, LLC., where he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and was responsible for developing, evaluating, and implementing growth strategies while managing full P&L across three manufacturing facilities and one distribution center in North America with manufacturing partners in China and Vietnam. Prior to Molded Divisions, LLC., he was VP and GM of Hart and Cooley at Johnson Controls where he managed a P&L of $300M for a leader in residential and light commercial HVAC products with 8 manufacturing facilities and 5 distribution centers in North America. Mejia has held executive leadership roles at Actuant Corporation, Rexnord Industries and Pentair. He currently serves as a member on the board of advisors at Alea Labs, Inc.
Mejia holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad del Norte, and a Masters in Industrial Engineering from The University of Illinois at Chicago.
