ON Cheers our Clients’ Pandemic Relief Efforts

Apr 30, 2020

At ON Partners, we are continually impressed with our community of clients, who are taking extraordinary measures to support others and do their part to help beat the virus.

We are inspired by the wide range of efforts our client community is undertaking to provide relief during this difficult time – everything from the donation of their products, services and time to fundraising and monetary relief to providing virus-related data.

Here, we’d like to celebrate more of our community of clients who are demonstrating their values and good will by taking action in the face of the pandemic.

For companies asking for donations or otherwise engaging consumers and other organizations to help, we’ve included that information here in case you’d like to join in and support their efforts.

“We’ve been inspired by how actively our clients are getting involved and trying to create a better experience for those in their community during these trying times,” noted ON Partners managing partner Tim Conti. “Shining a light on all that they’re doing and encouraging others to get involved is one small but important way we can help.”

“All In Challenge”

Alan Tisch, founder and former CEO of ecommerce app Spring, has partnered with Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils co-owner Michael Rubin and fellow entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk to launch the All In Challenge. Some of the world’s most famous athletes, celebrities, artists, entertainers, teams and owners are being challenged by friends and colleagues to provide something memorable for fans, with 100% of the proceeds going to charities.

Participants have been unveiling their donations – tickets to the Friends reunion show and cast meet and greet, a round of golf with Justin Timberlake and Bill Murray, dinner or private workout with Tom Brady after the Tampa Bay home opener, tickets to the Super Bowl, co-hosting the Ellen show, among dozens of others – on social media and following up their donations with a challenge to others to offer something of their own. Some items will be up for auction; others will be “enter to win.”

The challenge aims to raise millions of dollars to provide food for children, the elderly and frontline workers during the coronavirus crisis through five charities: Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, America’s Food Fund, World Central Kitchen and Feeding America. The donations and experiences are available at allinchallenge.com.  Watch news about the challenge on ESPN.

Spin

Electric scooter sharing company Spin is offering free rides and helmets to healthcare workers in all of its operating markets across the country.

In many places, local governments are supporting electric scooters as a transportation option for essential trips and essential service providers because it facilitates social distancing. “We stand alongside all medical providers, including but not limited to the doctors, nurses, physicians assistants, technicians, pharmacists, and aides who are helping to manage the coronavirus pandemic.”

Tropical Smoothie Café

Tropical Smoothie Café has donated 100,000 smoothies nationwide to local healthcare workers and first responders as part of its #InItTogether campaign to help support those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In cafes across the country, the Tropical Smoothie Café family is working tirelessly to support our local communities, which are currently facing unprecedented hardship,” says Charles Watson, CEO of Tropical Smoothie Café, LLC. “Our safety is dependent upon the selfless, hard work of our local healthcare workers and first responders and we want to help them in any way we can. The 100K smoothie giveaway is a simple, but impactful example of one way we can show our gratitude and bring a smile to their face – one sip at a time.”

CallRail

Marketing call-tracking tool provider CallRail is offering a two-month free trial, letting users sample all of CallRail’s products (and any combination of products), including Call Tracking, Form Tracking and Conversation Intelligence.

Information Builders

Data and analytics software provider Information Builders has consolidated COVID-19-related data into a single helpful resource on the company’s website. Tools include:

  • COVID-19 Global Tracking and Trend Analysis Dashboard: With data supplied by ESRI COVID-19 Resources GIS Hub, which contains the most up-to-date COVID-19 cases and latest trend plot, users can use this interactive dashboard, built on the IBI platform, to explore and analyze COVID-19 global data. You can see confirmed cases by percentage of population over 65, view a correlation of testing to confirmed cases, and visualize confirmed cases by country over time.
  • COVID-19 Predictive Dashboard: The company deployed a predictive model that combines data from two neural networks to help understand how hospitals are coping as active cases of the virus are reported.

Red Hat

Enterprise software provider Red Hat is taking a number of steps to benefit its customers during the pandemic, including offering flexibility for Red Hat Training classes; extended expiration dates for all Red Hat Certifications set to expire between March 17 and Sept. 30, 2020; collaboration with Boston University on The Resiliency Challenge; expanded access to automation; and best practices they’ve learned from its own distributed workforce.

This week, the company announced several additional initiatives, including:

  • Technical Account Management (TAM) services for new customers billed at a 50% discount;
  • Extended product life cycles across portions of the Red Hat portfolio;
  • Free training for furloughed workers and job seekers; and
  • Free online training courses on in-demand skills and technologies, available to everyone.

SOC Telemed

The nation’s largest provider of telemedicine technology and solutions is helping keep healthcare providers and patients safe during the pandemic. Jason Hallock, M.D, the company’s chief medical officer, explains that enabling providers to conduct virtual visits with patients experiencing mild symptoms can be beneficial and that “telemedicine is doing things we never thought it could do before. ICU doctors are in short supply and ICU doctors treat the most critical patients with coronavirus. Today it’s enabling us to save more lives than ever through telemedicine by getting doctors where they weren’t available before – or if doctors are quarantined at home or God forbid become sick, hopefully not too sick, they can still care for patients via telemedicine.”
