The J.M. Smucker Co. (NYSE: SJM) recently named Jeff Varcoe, Ph.D. as the new Vice President, Quality Assurance and Food Safety.
Jeff Varcoe, Ph.D. is a senior executive with a decorated history leading food safety & quality, research & development, and technical services teams. He joins the organization from Schwan’s Company where he served two decades in various leadership roles. Most recently, he was the Vice President, Manufacturing Technical Services after serving many years as Vice President, Food Safety & Quality.
He earned his Ph.D., Food Science from University of Minnesota, M.Sc, Biology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and B.A., Biology from Southwest Minnesota State University.
