Splash Financial Appoints New General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer and VP of Financial Institution Partnerships
Splash Financial (“Splash”), a leading student loan refinance marketplace and technology platform partnering with credit unions and banks to help people get the best refinancing rates on their student loans, has appointed Daniel Chang to General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer and Eric Synder to Vice President of Financial Institution Partnerships.
Daniel Chang joins Splash with deep legal expertise in the financial services sector. Most recently, he was the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Meritize. Prior to that, he held executive-level roles in counsel and compliance for Cross River and Avant. Chang has been an attorney for Sudekum, Cassidy & Shulruff Chtd., a litigation associate for Yokoyama & Associates, P.C., and an attorney for the office of the Cook County Public Defender. He holds his Doctor of Law (JD) from DePaul University College of Law and his BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Illinois.
Eric Synder joins Splash from Edmunds GovTech where he served as the Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to that, Synder was the Executive Vice President of Sales at Temenos. He spent over a decade at Akcelerant where he was most recently the Chief Business Development Officer. He began his sales career at Refinery where he was the Vice President of Sales. Synder graduated from the West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
