Benefitfocus Appoints Chief Information Officer

Benefitfocus continues to build its leadership team with the appointment of a Chief Information Officer

Benefitfocus, Inc. (NASDAQ: BNFT), a benefits technology platform enabling rapid innovation for employers, health plans and consumers, has appointed Sean Wechter to Chief Information Officer. In his role, Sean leads the design, development and implementation of internal systems for all associates. He works collaboratively with various stakeholders and senior decision-makers and is responsible for the company applications, infrastructure and IT help desk.

Sean joined Benefitfocus after working at industry-leading organizations such as PwC, Dell, Comcast and NBC. He has more than 20 years of technology leadership experience and has an MBA from Bentley College and a Bachelor of Science from Clarkson University.

In addition, ON Partners has collaborated with Benefitfocus over the past year on the appointment of John Thomas to the newly created role of chief data officer, and the appointment of Ravi Metta to the newly created role of executive vice president, product and engineering.
