VIAVI Solutions Hires Former Quanergy Exec As Vice President, Worldwide Sales
June 5, 2020 – Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) (NASDAQ: VIAV), a global provider of network test, monitoring and assurance solutions for communications service providers, enterprises, network equipment manufacturers, government and avionics, has appointed Gary Saunders to VP, Worldwide Sales.
Saunders brings over three decades of experience and will be responsible for OSP’s global sales, applications engineering, and customer service organization. He comes to VIAVI Solutions from Quanergy, where he was Chief Revenue Officer and led business development, sales, field applications engineering, and customer service to drive revenue and increase market share. He also held a Board Member role on the Border Commerce Security Council at Quanergy.
Before joining Quanergy, Saunders led worldwide sales at TowerJazz and also held leadership positions at Cypress Semiconductor Corp., Spansion Inc., Fairchild Semiconductor International and National Semiconductor Corp. He has a strong focus on customer satisfaction as well as extensive experience developing go-to-market strategies in automotive, IoT, cloud data center and industrial sectors, which has resulted in securing hundreds of millions of dollars in new business for his previous companies.
