Berlin Appoints Edward Szygenda to Regional Director of Operations
Berlin Packaging, the world’s largest supplier of glass, plastic, and metal containers and closures, has appointed Edward Szygenda to regional director of operations.
Szygenda is an accomplished and results-driven operations executive with broad-based expertise in building and executing effective strategies that improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency in manufacturing operations. He was previously director of operations at West Penn Wire, a manufacturer of low voltage electronic wire and cable, since 2012 where he was responsible for the performance of distribution centers in Georgia, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and California. Prior to that, he managed a manufacturing operation producing air movement and air control products for the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) industry at Ruskin Company.
Szygenda joins a global organization that recently took home an unprecedented 15 medals during the National Association of Container Distributor (NACD) packaging awards competition, celebrating the most innovative packaging design from the past year. Including these latest award victories, Berlin Packaging now boasts more than 50 total NACD awards received over the past six years.
