His team will collaborate across global markets to define product strategies and roadmaps. Additionally, under his leadership Lenovo will further propel growth in areas like OEM, education, smart collaboration, and cybersecurity. Long will be part of the IDG Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Lenovo IDG President, Luca Rossi, and will relocate from Singapore to Raleigh, North Carolina.
“Steve’s proven record at Intel, paired with his deep understanding of the technology sector, makes him the ideal leader to steer our commercial segment,” said Luca Rossi, President of IDG at Lenovo. “Under Steve’s new leadership, we expect to accelerate our commercial business even more to enhance profitability, competitiveness, and our foothold in the AI era.”
Reflecting on his new role, Steven Long remarked, “I’m deeply inspired by Lenovo’s commitment to innovation and driving intelligent transformation for its customers. Lenovo’s commercial products and solutions play a pivotal role in this vision, especially for businesses at the forefront of enterprise and emerging technologies. I look forward to contributing to Lenovo’s mission, ensuring that we meet and exceed the technological needs and expectations of our customers in this dynamic era of AI.”
Long’s career spans nearly 24 years at Intel, where he has held numerous leadership roles. He was instrumental in steering Intel’s business across the Asia Pacific and Japan region, significantly contributing to new revenue streams and business growth. Long’s experience includes leading global sales for Intel’s largest business unit, the Client Compute Group, and holding pivotal roles in the Latin America region and the Americas Sales team for Global Accounts.
