Scott Hunter Named Vice President, Product Management and Engagement, Core Developer at Google
Google appointed Scott Hunter as Vice President, Product Management and Engagement, Core Developer.
Hunter brings more than three decades of experience building and scaling developer platforms and engineering organizations. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Product for the Azure Developer Experience team at Microsoft, where he led core developer compute services, tools, and platform capabilities, and played a key role in the 2016 reboot of .NET into an open-source, cross-platform framework.
Earlier in his career, Hunter served as CTO and board member at Mustang Software, where he led engineering through the company’s IPO in 1995 and eventual $290 million sale. He later served as CTO of Starbase, where he helped turn around the business and led its successful sale the following year.
Hunter graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Economics.
