During the first half of 2021, ON Partners consultants made high-level executive life sciences and healthcare placements across a wide range of organizations, including Apton Bio, Bionano Genomics, Siemens, and Thermo Fisher.

The practice saw 49% growth over the past year, and for the second year in a row, ON Partners was ranked by Hunt Scanlon in its Top 50 Healthcare and Life Sciences Search Firms. The demand for ON’s life sciences and healthcare executive search services has contributed to the firm’s overall 89.3% growth over the previous three-year period.

“Whether it’s attributed to pent-up demand post-COVID or a strong market driving IPO activity and venture/PE dollars into life sciences, the demand for talent is unprecedented right now. One client likened it to the dotcom frenzy in 2000,” noted partner Steve Cornacchia. “We’re seeing many candidates with multiple job offers even if they were initially passive when first approached, and we’re counseling clients to move fast and feel comfortable landing a candidate sooner than they may usually have planned to make a decision on the candidate pool.”

Added partner Suzanne Zebedee, “Companies are working to retain employees through stock and RSU packages while making sure their base and bonus plans are in line with external compensation data, which is substantially on the rise due to the hot market and the demand for talent.”
